What is Reduce Your Juice about?
Reduce Your Juice is the ultimate battle against high energy bills! The program is designed to help you save electricity and cut your electricity bills so you can save some of your hard-earned money for other things. Play some fun mobile games, do some energy-saving activities and answer some questions to help us learn what works for you and you can earn some sweet rewards. We’ll also share some nifty Powerhacks along the way to help you hone your juice-blasting skills at home.
When does it start?
There are currently no active programs. The Energy Savvy Families Program concluded in October 2017. However, if you’re part of the Energy Savvy Families program, you can still sign-up to HomeSmart, see Energy Savvy Families Program for more information.

Why should I be part of Reduce Your Juice?
If your electricity bill is a little larger than you’d like and you are looking for ways to slim down your juice consumption, Reduce Your Juice is the answer. By playing some fun mobile games on your phone and completing a series of mini quests and questions, you can earn some sweet rewards. You can save dough on your electricity bill and become super energy savvy at the same time.
How long does Reduce Your Juice go for?
Reduce Your Juice lasts for approximately 2 months from the start date of each round. You will play the app games over 6 weeks, plus you will do some energy quests and answer some questions online sometime before and after you play the games.
Who is organising Reduce Your Juice?
Reduce Your Juice is a program run by CitySmart.
Who is involved in Reduce Your Juice?
The Energy Savvy Families Program is funded by the Queensland Department of Energy and Water Supply and is a joint effort by a number of partners including CitySmart, Ergon Energy and the Queensland Council of Social Services (QCOSS).

Who can plug in?
Reduce Your Juice is made to help a small bunch of people who don’t necessarily earn a big bucket of cash. To take part you need to fit the bill.
Can everyone in my house take part?
Sorry, no. Participation is limited to one person per household. Your housemates or family can still take part in the activities that you do, or you can share what you learn with them to help you save money on your electricity bill.
What do you do with my personal information?
What if I don’t want to receive communications anymore?
Oh no, don’t like our messages? That’s sad. Receiving communications such as email are a key part of Reduce Your Juice. Unfortunately, if you unsubscribe from communications you are also giving up your opportunity to earn the sweet rewards, including the major reward. If you still decide you don’t want to hear from us anymore, just click the unsubscribe link in the emails. If you have any more questions, contact us at email@example.com and we will be able to help.
What are all the rewards in the Reduce Your Juice program?
We would love to tell you, but we like to keep a little mystery in life, so you will find out when you become part of the program. There are a few packs of goodies you can win during the 6 weeks of games, as well as a majorly sweet reward up for grabs at the end for finishing all the stages. Ok, here’s one hint: the majorly sweet final reward for finishing the program will be the chance to win thousands of dollars worth of energy efficient appliances. Niiiice!
When do I find out what rewards I can earn?
Once you’ve successfully registered and completed your online profile via the survey link emailed to you, we will let you in on the ‘big reveal’ so you know what stuff you are in the running for. There are different types of rewards on offer and you may be a winner if you complete all the games and participate in our Facebook quests.
What do I need to do to earn the rewards?
As you tackle each stage of the program, you can earn some sweet rewards. There are a few simple steps and actions for you to do, such as playing the games for a designated amount of time, doing some energy quests or completing some short surveys within the timeframe. We will let you know via email exactly what you need to do by when. To get a crack at the big prize at the end, you’ll need to play each of the 3 mobile mini-games for a minimum of 10 minutes, stay subscribed to receive email communications from us, take part in some short online surveys, and let us learn about what works for you.
How long should my rewards take to get delivered to me?
We will try to get your rewards packs sent out to you as quickly as we can. You will hear from us if you win a reward, and once you provide any information required for us to send out the reward, we will send it out within 7-10 business days.
How do I log into the app?
Use the username and password that we emailed you at the start of the program. Didn’t receive one or having an issue? Email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
I’ve forgotten my password to log in
No worries – there is an option to reset your password underneath the login fields – just click the link and follow the prompts. We will email you a link to reset your password.
I’ve tried to re-set my password and I haven’t received my ‘re-set password email’
We’ve noticed that this is a common problem among Hotmail users. If you don’t get your password recovery email just get in touch by emailing us at email@example.com.
How do I download the app?
Go to either the Apple app store or Google Play to download the app. You can follow the links from the Reduce Your Juice homepage, or otherwise just search for Reduce Your Juice and download the app.
What phone or tablet do I need to play?
The Reduce Your Juice games are available through the app which is downloadable on the Apple store or Google Play. You’ll need a suitable Apple or Android smartphone or tablet so you can download the app and play. In general, smartphones and tablets with Android OS 4 or more recent, and Apple devices with iOS 7 or more recent are all good to go. Check your device’s settings to make sure you are ready to roll.
I don’t have a smartphone or a tablet, can I still play?
The Reduce Your Juice games are only available through the app which is downloadable on the Apple store or Google Play. You’ll need a suitable Apple or Android smartphone or tablet so you can download the app and play. Unfortunately there is no website version of Reduce Your Juice.
Can I play Reduce Your Juice on a website?
Unfortunately the technology behind Reduce Your Juice is only suitable for smart device applications. There is no website version of Reduce Your Juice.
How many games are there in Reduce Your Juice?
There are 3 different mobile games which are part of the Reduce Your Juice app. During the program, each game is open one at a time, and will be playable for 2 weeks. At the end of the 6 weeks, all the games will unlock so you can play ’til your heart is content.
How long do I need to play the app games for?
A new game opens every two weeks. You will need to play each game for a minimum of 10 minutes (5 minutes per week) in order. We recommend you put in some extra play time to help you become a true juice-blaster master.
What if I forget to play?
Don’t worry, we’ve got your back. We will send you email and SMS reminders to help you remember to play so you don’t miss out on earning rewards.
I have been playing the games but have received reminder emails
You need to be logged in using your correct email address and password. Check that you are not playing through the ‘free play’ link. Go to the ‘Settings’ icon in the app, tap ‘Sign out’ then log back in using your email address and password.
Make sure you play each game for 10 minutes whilst logged in correctly to earn your chances to win some sweet rewards. Also check that you have been online at some stage to log your play time – the app needs to send the information back to us whilst you are online so we can tell you have earned your reward. If your phone is fresh out of data, head along to a local library or check out your Council website for more info.
I am having technical difficulties, what should I do?
Try logging out of the app and logging back in again… if all else fails contact us and we will get our nerdy support peeps to help you fix the glitch.
What operating system do I need to play the app?
You will need a smartphone or tablet with Android OS 4 or more recent, or any Apple device with iOS 7 or more recent.
Keyboard disappearing when you try to log in on your Android phone?
If your keyboard is ‘disappearing’ when you try to login to Reduce Your Juice on your Android phone, you may have to change your keyboard.

What happens after I finish Reduce Your Juice?
